Rabha Divas organized by Sapekhati College at Moran Habi Villege on 20th June 2026 as a part of Extension activity in collaboration with Moran Habi ME School

Sapekhati College, in collaboration with Moran Habi M.E. School, celebrated Bishnu Prashad Rabha Divas on 20 June 2026 with due respect and enthusiasm. The programme was organised to commemorate the life, contributions and enduring legacy of Kalaguru Bishnu Prashad Rabha, a renowned cultural icon, artist, musician, writer and social reformer of Assam.
The programme brought together teachers, students and members of the local community. Speakers highlighted Rabha’s significant contributions to Assamese literature, music, dance, art and the socio-cultural awakening of the people. The programme also discussed his ideals of social equality, cultural consciousness, and dedication to the welfare of society. Students participated in the programme and paid tribute through cultural presentations and other activities.
The collaborative celebration provided an opportunity for students to learn about Rabha’s rich cultural legacy and inspired them to uphold the values of creativity, social responsibility and cultural heritage. The programme concluded with a vote of thanks to all participants and collaborators.
