Celebration of International Women's Day on 7th March 2026 by Women Cell, Sapekhati College

The Women Cell of Sapekhati College observed International Women’s Day on 8 March 2026 with enthusiasm and active participation from students, teachers, and staff. The programme was organised to highlight the significance of women’s empowerment, gender equality, dignity, and women's important contributions to society.
Dr Dhrubalochan Nath, Medical Officer of Sapekhati Block Primary Health Centre, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. In his address, he emphasised the importance of providing women equal opportunities in education, employment, leadership, and social life. He also encouraged students to develop confidence, awareness, and a strong sense of responsibility towards building an inclusive and equitable society.
The programme provided an opportunity for participants to reflect on contemporary issues concerning women and to reaffirm the collective commitment towards creating a safe, respectful, and gender-sensitive environment. The celebration concluded with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest, organisers, faculty members, staff, and students for their active participation and support.
